Harrison Ford was piloting a small plane that crashed on a Venice, Ca. golf course Thursday, and the actor is now in critical condition.

The vintage two-seater fighter plane hit the greens of the Penmar Golf Course, located near the Santa Monica airport, around 2:30 p.m. local time after it had mechanical issues, and reports say the 72-year-old was the sole occupant of the plane.

Ford had multiple gashes on his head and was bleeding, and two physicians who were at the golf course treated Ford until emergency services arrived.
