Etiquette, Respect

We’re all here to have fun, so don’t be a dick. No personal attacks allowed. If a player is insulting your personal character, let one of the hosts now ASAP.

No cheating of any kind is allowed in this game. That said, playing dirty and doing things like making fake conversations is fine. Please do not involve the hosts.

Communication

Communication between players will be done via the forums or via AIM. Having an AIM account is required for this game.

Cross tribal communication is allowed.

This is an ALIAS game. Meaning you cannot reveal your real identity to any of your fellow players. You may not ask other players who they are, either. We will be taking this seriously. Any accusations of alias breaking will be dealt with thoroughly. If you don't want to play alias -- too bad. If you know someone in the game, keep that to yourself.

Once you have been voted out of the game, you may NOT communicate with players still in the game about the game. If an eliminated player speaks with you about the game, screenshot it and contact a host immediately. Then we will take care of it. If a member of the jury is caught doing this, they are at risk of losing their jury spot!

Activity

We reserve the right to evacuate inactive people from the game! If a situation arises that prevented you from posting confessionals, let the hosts know. If we hear nothing from you, we’ll be forced to take action.

We measure activity in various ways, including confessionals, challenge participation, and obviously, voting! While there is no formal strike system in place this season, if you are not doing what you are supposed to be doing in this game, then you will be removed, possibly without warning. Plain and simple.

If you do not log into the board for an entire round, you will be removed.

Challenges

Challenges will take place following tribal council. They will be live, semi-live, or non-live. Most challenges will take place over at least 24 hour period (unless live), but we may extend that time if requested.

Tribal Council, Voting

Tribal Council will take place immediately after an immunity challenge, or at the host’s discretion. You will have at least 24 hours to cast your vote in your confessional.

Boot lists are required in this game. A boot list is an ordered list of who you would want to vote out in the event that you do not cast a vote at tribal council. If you do not have a boot list, you will self vote at tribal council, even if you vote! So make a boot list.

Ties: A tie at tribal council will result in a re-vote, where only those who received the most votes can be voted for. If a tie results after that, the players will draw rocks. Alternatively, if drawing rocks is not possible, a tie breaker challenge will ensue. 

Special items: Players play special items (e.g., idols, double votes) when they cast their vote. They cannot be played at tribal council. If you have a special item, you can only play it on yourself. However, you can give special items to other people that are on your tribe. Do this by simply posting in your confessional that you'd like to give an item to another player.

Punishments

Punishments can vary from a warning, to removal from the game. We will give you a warning in most cases, but this can steadily increase to self votes at tribal, giving your tribe a penalty in the next immunity challenge etc. Don't think you're immune from the rules because we "won't remove you from the game." Because there are still other ways we can enact penalties!

In the end...

The hosts have the final say in all situations. We want to host a fun game for everybody, but if a player breaks these rules, then we will take action.
